Outlook 2007
Open Outlook 2007 and click
Tools
in the menu bar, then select
Account Settings
.
In the
Accounts Settings
window, from the
E-Mail
tab click on the
New
button
On the bottom of the
Add New E-Mail Account
check the box for
Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
, and then click
Next
On the bottom of the
Add New E-Mail Account
check the box for
Manually configure server settings or additional server types
, and then click
Next
Make sure that “Internet E-Mail” is selected and click Next
In the
Add New E-Mail Account
window fill in the below settings and then select the
More Settings
button.
User Information
Enter Your Full Name, i.e. the name in wish you want to display on the receivers mail client
Enter Your email address
Server Information
Select POP3 from the Account Type drop down box
Enter mail.splashdevelopments.com.au for Incoming mail server(POP3)
Enter mail.splashdevelopments.com.au for Outgoing mail server(SMTP)
Logon Information
Enter your email address in the User Name box.
Enter your password in the Password box.
Then Click More Settings
Under Outgoing Server
Tick
"My outgoing server (SMTP) required authentication”
and ensure that use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected
Click onto the
Advanced
Tab
Under Incoming server (POP3)
Tick
“This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
and ensure the port number is
995
.
Under Outgoing server (SMTP)
Ensure the port number is 465.
From the drop down
“Use the following type of encrypted connection:”
select
SSL
Under Server Timeouts drag the slider towards Long, setting the value to “10 Minutes”.
Click Ok then Next.
Your email is now setup and configured correctly.
